A starting point for your discussion
This calculator helps you compare possible funeral selections and estimated costs. It does not order or reserve merchandise, authorize embalming or other services, create a prepaid funeral plan, accept funeral payments, or make a funeral arrangements contract. Contact the funeral home shown in your calculator to confirm availability, prices and arrangements.
Your estimate does not replace the funeral home's complete price lists or its required Statement of Funeral Goods and Services Selected. The funeral home remains responsible for those documents, authorizations and applicable requirements. A price-change notice does not change an existing signed agreement or remove your legal rights.
What the amounts mean
Service and merchandise prices are entered by the funeral home. Selected optional items are added at the funeral home's listed prices. Check the itemized estimate and exclusions, and ask about any charge you do not understand.
Grave-opening and additional expense amounts are planning allowances, including amounts you may enter yourself. They are not confirmed quotes from a cemetery or other supplier. The funeral home should identify the actual outside expenses and applicable charges when arrangements are made. Ask whether taxes, transportation, permits, certificates, crematory charges, obituary notices or other expenses are included. Do not add an expense again if it is already included.
Default quantities and suggested expenses are calculator settings, not a statement that a purchase is required by law. Ask the funeral home which items you need and why. A particular law or cemetery/crematory requirement must be explained by the funeral home when applicable.
Your selections and this browser
Your calculator choices are saved in this browser's local storage so you can return to them on this device. The calculator does not ask for a family member's name, email, a deceased person's details or payment-card information. It does not automatically send your selections to the funeral home.
Use Print / Save PDF to keep or share a copy yourself. On a shared device, use Reset all selections when finished. Your browser controls can clear this site's stored data. Clearing data on one device does not erase a PDF you saved or shared.
The site and its hosting provider process technical requests and logs needed to deliver and protect the service. Product pictures or links hosted by other websites may send ordinary request information to those websites when loaded or opened; their own policies apply. Contact the funeral home for questions about its offerings, price lists and any information you provide directly to it. Its administrator can contact Funeral Estimate Pro for software or account support.
